Paul began his long career in the refining and petrochemical industries as a Process Engineer for Celanese Chemical Company. As a Senior Consultant at Solomon, he now supports all areas of worldwide CPA studies for fuels and lube refining, including planning, solicitation, invoicing, conducting Data Coordinators’ Seminars, providing on-site data collection assistance, scheduling, data validation, reporting, and follow-up work.
Before joining Solomon, Paul developed an extensive background in the petrochemical industry in several line and staff positions, in the refining industry for a new refinery, and in several areas of consulting with emphasis on CPA for fuels and lube refineries. Paul is a chemical engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.
Bill began his career as a Process Engineer with Dow Chemical in 1978. Prior to joining Solomon in 2005, he developed a broad experience base as a Process/Operations Engineer and Lead Engineer at various petrochemical, refinery, and utility plants around the world. Bill is currently a Senior Energy Consultant at Solomon and now focuses on CPA activities for pipelines.
As a Senior Consultant, Bob has been helping Solomon’s refining clients improve their performance since 1990. Drawing on more than 35 years’ experience in the refining industry—including assignments to work in the London Office, Capetown Office, and Dallas office—Bob now focuses on conveying that knowledge and experience to clients around the world.
Mike began his career in refining in 1982. Now as a Senior Consultant with Solomon, he is responsible for assisting with consulting assignments throughout the world. Prior to accepting a position with Solomon, Mike was Operations Complex Manager at the Premcor/Valero refinery in Memphis. In addition, he has held multiple positions during his 23 years of experience at Chalmette Refining LLC (a joint venture of ExxonMobil and PdVsa, formerly Mobil Oil, Tenneco Oil). He has conducted assignments in Japan and Venezuela, as well.
With more than 39 years experience in the power generation industry, Ron possesses a wide array of consulting experiences ranging from generating unit startup, operations, and NERC GADS data management and analysis. He is recognized worldwide as an industry expert in the methodologies, calculations, and differences in reliability reporting for NERC GADS, CEA ERIS, UNIPEDE, and IEEE. Ron has more than 10 years of practical experience in the design, development, and application of analytical, reporting, and benchmarking tools that have been widely accepted in the power generation industry. Since 2004, he has managed Solomon’s computer software applications in the power generation industry.
Roger is an integral part of Solomon’s European Pipeline Comparative Performance Analysis team. He is also responsible for and participates in projects involving refinery economics and planning functions, aspects of crude and product pricing, competitive analysis and assessments, industry trend analysis, and operating cost improvements. Prior to joining Solomon, he was International Purchasing Manager for Amoco Corporation, where he was responsible for procurement on behalf of affiliates in Europe and Africa.
Fred began his career in the refining industry as a Product Engineer in 1975. As a Senior Consultant with Solomon, he is responsible for assisting with global consulting assignments. Prior to accepting a position with Solomon, Fred held a variety of positions with chemical and engineering firms, where he gained extensive domestic and international experience, including assignments in Canada, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Europe, the United Kingdom, India, and Asia.
