Rod has more than 30 years of power generation experience in the utility industry, including power generation, plant development, construction, and plant management with Midwestern and Southeastern utilities. He held positions as Plant Manager of an 800 MW coal-fired electric generating station, and Maintenance and Operations Managers at a 550 MW fossil-fueled electric generating station. As Project Manager for Solomon since 2001, Rod helps clients analyze their business and develop programs to improve operational and financial performance. With a fundamental knowledge of how to optimize an asset and its operational costs, Rod has helped numerous clients with their improvement efforts in the area of dispatch, maintenance, and energy optimization.

Rod holds a Master of Science in Management from Cardinal Stritch College and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  A registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Rod has also taken additional course work in the Executive Management Program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
