Stephen Wright, Vice President of Europe/Middle East, is based in Solomon’s European office.  His responsibilities include both supporting the biennial Competitive Performance Analysis and conducting consulting assignments. With more than 30 years in the hydrocarbon business, he has experience in operations management, cost reduction/profit improvement, reliability/availability/maintenance, human performance improvement, as well as base oil and wax refining.

Prior to joining Solomon, Stephen spent 15 years with KBC Process Technology Ltd where he was responsible for managing and conducting numerous consulting assignments in a wide range of refining related disciplines with clients worldwide.  He was also responsible for developing and rolling out a number of new consulting services including KBC’s Operational Excellence model.  Prior to working for KBC, Stephen spent 15 years with Esso Petroleum Ltd at Fawley refinery, where he held a number of technical and managerial positions, including managing the Lubes complex. Stephen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London.
