Over the last 38 years, Don has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the refining industry through a combination of studying, analyzing, and hands-on management experience, which he applies to helping clients identify their performance gaps.</p>
<p>Before joining Solomon in 1990, Don worked for Chevron USA and Champlin Petroleum Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&#038;M and a Masters of Business Administration from Phillips University.</p>

He has participated in many assignments for individual clients investigating opportunities and proposing strategies for profit improvement. Lawrie currently serves as one of the main presenters of the company’s performance analysis presentations throughout Europe.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Solomon, Lawrie spent nearly two decades of his career with the Amoco Corporation where he worked in many refinery functions, eventually as Manager of Technical Service and Operations. He has also served as a key adviser to the former East German government agency responsible for refining strategies. He holds a masters degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and is a chartered engineer.</p>

<p>Bob specializes in developing the Crude, Product, and Chemical Price Assessments used in the Worldwide Fuels, Lube, and Olefin Studies. With this background, he helps develop the Financial Performance Analysis for the Studies.</p>
<p>Bob holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois.</p>

As a Senior Consultant at Solomon, he now supports all areas of worldwide CPA studies for fuels and lube refining, including planning, solicitation, invoicing, conducting Data Coordinators’ Seminars, providing on-site data collection assistance, scheduling, data validation, reporting, and follow-up work.</p>
<p>Before joining Solomon, Paul developed an extensive background in the petrochemical industry in several line and staff positions, in the refining industry for a new refinery, and in several areas of consulting with emphasis on CPA for fuels and lube refineries. Paul is a chemical engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University.</p>

Now as a Senior Consultant with Solomon, he is responsible for assisting with consulting assignments throughout the world. Prior to accepting a position with Solomon, Mike was Operations Complex Manager at the Premcor/Valero refinery in Memphis. In addition, he has held multiple positions during his 23 years of experience at Chalmette Refining LLC (a joint venture of ExxonMobil and PdVsa, formerly Mobil Oil, Tenneco Oil). He has conducted assignments in Japan and Venezuela, as well.</p>
<p>Mike has worked in a variety of operations, planning, and technical positions and still has passion for optimization opportunities, whether it is black oil, BTX, or organizational. He has been involved in organizational change, major turnarounds, capital project work, and knowledge management. Mike is a chemical engineer, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi.</p>

Prior to joining Solomon, he was International Purchasing Manager for Amoco Corporation, where he was responsible for procurement on behalf of affiliates in Europe and Africa.</p>
<p>Roger’s expertise focuses primarily on feedstock and product logistics, with more than 30 years of experience in supply planning of refinery and pipeline operations, maintenance, and technical support, including capital project development and execution. He also has detailed knowledge of the upstream oil industry and Supply Chain Management, and is extremely knowledgeable concerning compliance with European Union procurement law.</p>
<p>Roger is a Chemical Engineer, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.</p>

Today, he is a Project Manager at Solomon, responsible for managing and participating in projects involving refinery performance improvement, mergers and acquisitions, expansion analysis, yield and operating cost improvements, cash flow projection, and crude oil valuations. Prior to joining Solomon, he held positions at Mobil and Getty Oil Company, and was a consultant at Turner, Mason &amp; Solomon.</p>
<p>During his career, John’s responsibilities have ranged from engineering to supervisory positions. At Solomon, he has developed a linear programming model database, analyzed yield accounting and operating procedures to improve refinery profitability, and developed and conducted Solomon’s first benchmarking study for Fluid Catalytic Cracking processes. John has a Professional Degree in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California.</p>

<p>In addition to general refinery management, he has held head office and site posts covering most manufacturing and associated activities, and has participated in projects around the world involving all aspects of refining and LNG. He has a wide knowledge of Solomon benchmarking processes and his work is focused on client appraisal and improvement programs. He also currently serves a one of the main presenters of the company&#8217;s performance analysis presentations throughout Europe.</p>
