As a Senior Consultant, Jon Stroup is currently performing refinery analysis and benchmarking for the Comparative Performance Analysis (CPA) vertical. With more than 18 years of experience in the refining industry, Jon’s experience spans various roles in operations and maintenance management, capital project management, project engineering, as well as APC and process engineering.  Jon then applies that experience and knowledge to helping Solomon’s clients around the world improve their performance.

Before joining Solomon in 2009, Jon worked for a diverse range of organizations in the industry, including Diamond Shamrock, Honeywell, and Sunoco.  In his experience, Jon has been responsible for line organizations both in operations and maintenance, project manager for large-scale capital projects as well as responsible for ensuring day-to-day refinery optimization through APC and other roles.  Jon holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa.
